I noticed that this car has an “S-55” badge on the rear fender. If this is and S-55, it’s amazing, and worth noting.

Hey. You could be right. I usually just use what they are registered as (it is public information in Norway) unless it is obviously wrong. This car is just registered as a ordinary Monterey, hence why I have written that.
But the information can sometimes be recorded wrong. Especially on cars that have been imported and aren’t as common here. I see now that the owner have chosen “S-55” as part of his/her license plate too, so I will assume it is one then.
While that is said I have also found another 1966 S-55 if you haven’t seen it yet.
The second half of that licence plate is “428”, which (according to Wikipedia) just happens to be the displacement in cubic inches of all S-55s in 1966. What a monster engine!
